Easy Hummus Recipe

Hummus can be made easily using just your food processor. Here’s my favorite basic recipe. You can add artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, lemon or cilantro for different variations if you like:

Basic Hummus

Ingredients:

1 can chickpeas

1/4 cup raw tahini

2-3 cloves of garlic (depending on how garlicky you like your food)

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

3 tablespoons olive oil

1/8 teaspoon cumin

dash of seasalt

chopped chives (optional)

Directions:

Add all ingredients to food processor and blend until creamy. If hummus is too thick, you may want to add a little water or yogurt to thin it out. Spoon hummus into serving bowl and garnish with paprika and parsley if you wish.

Make it your own! Add extra lemon juice, cilantro, sun dried tomatoes, artichokes, spinach or any other yummy veggies.
